To fix a keypad light not working, You May Check the first two LEDs on the keypad matrix. Were These two LEDs connected in series connection, It Mean if one LED is the Other bad one will Also will not light up. That so ENSURE Both LEDs are working.
If the two LED lights Seems Both working okay, referring to the solution below and do have a voltage reading and line connection paths tracing procedures.
You May Check the battery first positive supply voltage (VBAT) Which is about 3.7V connection, then the negative line paths Which Has A resistor connected to it. Check and or replace the resistor Also if Necessary.
The LED controller IC is the one That price range and engaged to switch ON and OFF the LED keypad, it work as a switching mechanism of the keypad light. There is a Possibility That May Also the problem lies on the LED control IC and You May need to rework or replace this chip just said to fix Such 1508 keypad light problem.
